1860 – “Go Forth”

I call it folk, but you could just as easily call it AC or easy listening. Go Forth is a pleasant serenade that the Icelandic band 1860 released over a year ago.

I think the real appeal is in the lyrics. I find myself nodding along to “But if it’s money that you crave, for which to buy a fancy grave, just remember kid, it’s all a game” in agreement as much as because of the easy-going music.

1860 is a five piece, made up by Andri Bjartur Jakobsson, Gunnar Jónsson, Hlynur Júní Hallgrímsson, Jóhann Rúnar Þorgeirsson, and Óttar G. Birgisson. You can learn more about the Reykjavík band on Facebook. Enjoy Go Forth.
