Indie Week: Symmetry and Ryan Lewis
The pair come together from opposite coasts to collaborate to establish a new sound.
I first heard their song Fireflies on an indie blog. I would link it if I could remember which blog it was but I honestly don’t remember. I liked the song but wasn’t enamored with it.
A few weeks ago, I came across the pair again, and this time I sought to hear a little bit more from them. Additionally, I was kinda interested in what they were going for because it was electro but it seems to have similar vibes as Gnarls Barkley. I was spot on. They’re going for a new sound but also a retro one. I’ve selected Down as my song choice because I think that it illustrates it well. It can be difficult but I think they’ve managed to pull it off on their LP.
