My Way To You

I realize many people do not like country; to those that say that to themselves, give Jamey Johnson a chance. He’s more like Haggard and Cash than his contemporaries. His thick, gravelly voice connects and reverberates in an age obsessed with photoshopping and autotuning.
My Way To You is one of my favorite songs and is at least one of my three favorite country songs released within the past decade. It builds over the course of the song and reaches an emotional climax that speaks to anyone that can relate.
Going down the wrong road, living by the wrong code,
Chasing after dreams that don’t come true,
Looking for the right signs and riding on the white lines,
Just trying to find my way to you,
Trying to find my way to you
Every time I hear it, I think about someone in particular that I shared the song with. She was someone special to me and wonder if she ever thinks about me. I want to believe the song is true for my life and that connection enhances an already great song.
