An oldie but a goodie. I’m a huge Motown fan and have professed my love for Marvin Gaye’s music a couple times so I guess it’s probably not a shocker that I also really like The Supremes. I’ve definitely been contemplating doing a week just focusing on favorites from Motown. Such a great period and style of music. Diana Ross, Mary Wilson, and Florence Ballard were dynamo then and still are now.
Of course, there were a bunch of different lineups but Ross, Wilson, and Ballard were the members during their greatest hits like You Can’t Hurry Love. That song is a nearly perfect pop diddy. It’s probably my favorite of The Supremes’ songs and it’s pretty good advice to anyone that’s willing to listen. With that being said, that doesn’t mean to hold off on feelings either. Just take your time, don’t rush, and enjoy it.
